Which form of convergence media do I understand the least? Well I would have to say multi-platform media. This one is just so indepth I think it is hard to really understand just how far it does go. Multi-platform media is a way of saying that media is no longer limited to billboards and newspapers. You have online and TV advertisements, flyers, emails, even text messages at the finger tips of everyone who has an opinion to express. It is crazy to look around and see just how immersed we are in everyone else’s advertisements and marketing strategies. I think this has the biggest effect on me and others by making us think less about it. If someone walks up to you and directly trys to sell or promote a product you can immediately pick out what they are doing. Where as when we are constantly surrounded we aren’t able to distinguish the marketing strategies from all the other advertising noise around us.
